MUC4?(mucin 4)?is a?large?membrane-anchored glycoprotein of the?mucin family that?is?expressed?by?epithelial?cells?in?various??normal tissues?including?lung,?bronchus, stomach, colon, and?cervix.?MUC4?is generally?not?detected?in?normal?pancreas,?but?is?expressed?in the vast?majority of?pancreatic?neoplasms, such as?pancreatic?ductaladenocarcinoma.
